Jessica Levenson PhD, DBSM

Dr. Levenson is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics and Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the development and testing of sleep-focused interventions for adolescents in community settings, with the goal of improving sleep to promote mental health and functioning. She also focuses on the role of sleep disturbance in the development and course of mood disorders, and in the use of implementation science frameworks to advance behavioral interventions. Dr. Levenson is also a licensed clinical psychologist who has earned the Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine designation from the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine. She conducts clinical work in the Center for Adolescent and Young Adult Health of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Center for Sleep Circadian Science within Western Psychiatric Hospital. She specializes in the evidence-based treatment of sleep and mood disorders.
